Job summary

Our client, a Fortunate Fortune Company, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Seattle, WA. This role is fully onsite with a pay rate of $30–$35 per hour on W2 and is an 11-month contract with potential extension or conversion.

You will assemble parts from 3D printing, CNC machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication per engineering drawings and work instructions, requiring strong attention to detail and hands-on skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent technical training.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble manufactured components into finished products following engineering drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures.
• Perform mechanical assembly including fastening, bonding, fitting, and alignment of parts.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures safely and effectively.
• Install hardware including screws, bolts, nuts, washers, rivets, and other fasteners.
• Apply adhesives, sealants, and thread-locking compounds as specified.
• Perform sub-assembly and final assembly operations.
• Verify part fit and alignment during assembly process.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify and report defects or quality issues to manufacturing managers and quality engineers.
• Conduct functional tests on assembled products as required.
• Maintain accurate assembly records and documentation.
• Follow first article inspection procedures for new assemblies.
