Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Mechanic A in Ogden, UT to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment essential to operations. This role is 100% onsite and reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance.

The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for well qualified candidates, and requires five years of mechanical craft experience with a focus on industrial maintenance. Competitive hourly pay is provided along with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) years mechanical craft experience, three (3) years in mechanical industrial maintenance.
• Diploma or applicable education from a trade or technical school in industrial mechanical maintenance may qualify for part of experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment according to blueprints and drawings.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and maintain maintenance records.
• Repair pumps, valves, blowers, compressors, vessels and conveyors; fabricate parts as needed.
• Operate lathes, milling machines and drill presses to make/repair parts.
• Coordinate area activities with maintenance shop and train other craftsmen.
