Job summary

Thinklance LLP in Ohio is seeking an Operations Planning intern/on-site role focused on production scheduling and data analysis. You will review upcoming production jobs, walk the floor for updates, monitor delays, and maintain ERP-based schedules.

You’ll collaborate with production teams, support capacity planning, and generate reports to improve schedule accuracy. This hands-on role offers mentorship and exposure to ERP systems, with potential for full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations/Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with spreadsheets, data and operational reports; proficient with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review upcoming production jobs to identify issues with materials, labor, BOMs, routings or constraints.
• Walk the production floor to gather updates on job status and progress.
• Monitor past-due jobs, upcoming priorities, and schedules to identify delays.
• Maintain scheduling spreadsheets, ERP data, trackers and production reports.
• Assist with tracking workload, capacity and resource utilization by department/work center.
• Support planning activities to maintain schedule accuracy and flow.
• Communicate job status and scheduling concerns with supervisors and leaders.
• Assist with reporting, data analysis and schedule performance tracking.
• Support other production control and scheduling initiatives as assigned.
