Job summary

Copeland in the United States seeks an Operations Manager at our Natchitoches, LA site. The role directs all manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of compressor products.

You will lead safety, quality, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives while fostering accountability and teamwork. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Engineering/Manufacturing/Business, with 7–10 years in manufacturing and at least 5 years of leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors and production teams.
• Experience leading operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Proven experience managing safety, quality, production, and cost performance metrics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: promote a strong safety culture and OSHA compliance.
• Direct daily manufacturing operations to meet schedules and objectives.
• Monitor KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and engagement.
• Lead problem-solving and root-cause analysis for issues.
• Develop supervisors and teams; support succession planning.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma and automation projects for improvement.
• Manage budgets and control operating expenses.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, HR, and Finance.
