Job summary

Fosber America, Inc. in Hickory, NC is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Technician to support our corrugated machinery fleet. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair production equipment, and ensure reliable operation on a primarily day-shift, onsite role with some weekend work.

The position will be onsite near your home location after the initial training. Ideal candidates have electro-mechanical maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining equipment in industrial or automotive industries (or equivalent education).
• Excellent mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Great communication and customer service skills.
• Degree in electro-mechanical technology, automotive technology, electrical, or related field is a plus, but Fosber is willing to train the right candidate regardless of degree completion.
• Ability to travel heavily during first several months for training. Position will be onsite near home location after initial training, 50 hour weeks, primarily day-shift, with some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist with daily inspections and routine servicing of machinery.
• Maintain documentation and communicate findings with the team.
