Robson Companies Inc. seeks a reliable maintenance technician to care for HOA residential communities. You will perform preventative and routine maintenance, handle general repairs, and manage work orders in our system.
You will inspect grounds and common areas, report safety issues to supervision, and be available for 24-hour emergency calls. Basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical tasks are expected, with a focus on resident safety and satisfaction.
Responsible for performing general maintenance of buildings and grounds at HOA residential communities (Community Associations).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance.
Ensure completion of work orders using the work order system.
General maintenance, janitorial, and grounds work throughout Community Associations.
Periodic inspections of grounds, common area buildings, and structures.
Advising supervisor of needed repairs, improvements, and safety issues.
Understanding of carpentry, concrete, doors, drywall, fencing, cleaning, locks, plumbing, and painting.
Be able to work in emergency situations if needed and be available and willing to answer 24-hour maintenance emergency calls on a rotating schedule.
Maintain a courteous demeanor with residents, co-workers, and vendors.
Plus other work related tasks.
Qualifications:
High school education.
2+ years of maintenance experience required.
Experience with carpentry, concrete, doors, drywall, fencing, plumbing, and painting required.
Experience with cleaning, locks, and gutters highly desired.
Must be able to speak, read and write English. Bilingual is a plus.
Must be a proficient problem-solver.
Must know how to use tools, supplies, materials, chemicals in a manner that does not endanger self, other employees, residents, the environment, or the public in general.
Experience and skills with simple electric maintenance is a plus, but not necessary.
Basic computer skills (for access to a work order system and emails).
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to pass drug test.
Pay and Benefits:
$20.00 - $25.00 hourly, depending on education and experience. Health benefits available.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. This position will require a significant amount of time outside, handling work order orders, inspecting and following up on common areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
