Job summary

Open Systems Inc. is seeking a Low Voltage Project Coordinator/Manager for a 3-month contract-to-hire assignment in Minneapolis, MN. The role focuses on managing onsite client relationships and delivering low-voltage projects on schedule and within budget.

You will install, test, and certify Cat6A and fiber, coordinate teams and subcontractors, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders. Local travel across the Minneapolis metro is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in structured cabling and low-voltage projects.
• Strong onsite client liaison and issue resolution skills.
• Knowledge of BICSI, NEC, and TIA/EIA standards.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in construction settings.
• Willingness to travel daily across Minneapolis metro.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite point of contact, manage client relationships, project communications, and stakeholder expectations across installations.
• Lead concurrent low-voltage projects by coordinating schedules, site readiness, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Install, terminate, test, and certify Cat6A and fiber cabling per standards and safety codes.
• Conduct site surveys, review plans, perform takeoffs, and develop estimates and bids.
• Install and configure network gear—APs, IP cameras, switches, cabling, and user equipment.
• Monitor progress, track issues, manage punch lists, and provide status and risk reports.
• Troubleshoot cabling issues and support cutovers to ensure successful completion.
