Job Details

Location: West Lafayette, IN (Indiana Veterans Home Dietary)
Duration: 3 Months

Required Skills and Certifications
  • Indiana Professional License or license from an NLC participating state (required)
  • Proficiency in computer skills and EMR systems (required)
  • American Heart Association CPR and BLS Certification (required)
  • Dementia 6-hour certification (required prior to start)

Preferred but not mandatory: EMR experience (Matrix Care), Memory Care experience, short-term rehab experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments following accepted standards
  • Provide safe, efficient personal care to residents
  • Follow infection control standards and safety protocols
  • Document care and medications accurately
  • Assist with resident care planning and assessments
  • Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Supervise and direct Nurse Aides as needed
Additional Information

This role involves working on a unit with long-term care, memory care, and short-term rehabilitation residents. The position reports to the Nursing Unit Manager and requires the ability to walk, stand, lift residents, and work in a controlled environment with exposure to body fluids and chemicals.
