Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Systems Administrator – Level 2 or Level 3 for the Space Sector in Aurora, CO. This 100% onsite role requires active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph and involves managing Linux systems on large, classified government contracts.

Responsibilities include maintaining multi-user systems, applying security patches, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The position may require shift work and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience OR Master's with 0 years of professional experience.
• Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph at time of application.
• At least 1 year of server administration experience with RHEL.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II baseline certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of start date.
• Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to work off shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability, including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
• Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.
• Knowledge and experience with VMware and virtualization.
• Perform quarterly security patch updates on a multitude of virtual machines.
• Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the ISSM.
