Job Summary

The New Home Sales Counselor is responsible for engaging prospective buyers, communicating effectively, persuading, and closing sales for newly constructed residential homes. The role involves generating new leads through various outreach efforts including contacting prospective buyers, referrals, brokers, and other prospects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Greet visitors, provide literature and information, and demonstrate model homes, discussing floor plans, construction, and options.
  2. Overcome sales objections and close sales to ensure customer satisfaction.
  3. Handle offers, applications, and questions regarding financing.
  4. Document sales transactions, follow up on loan applications, and maintain accurate sales records. Conduct weekly follow-up calls until home closing.
  5. Maintain sales models and community presentation areas, ensuring marketing materials are current and accessible.
  6. Proactively seek new prospects through networking, referrals, and follow-up. Use market analysis tools and engage with real estate brokers through presentations.
  7. Host grand openings and community events.
Minimum Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Current local real estate license required.
  3. Previous sales experience required; new home sales experience preferred.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills to connect and maintain professional relationships.
  5. Action-oriented with a drive to close sales.
  6. Customer-centric mindset, seeking solutions from the customer’s perspective.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  9. Decisive, data-driven decision-making skills.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  11. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  12. Professional and ethical conduct in dealings with customers and brokers.
  13. Physical ability to perform job duties, including walking stairs, standing or sitting for long periods, and moving around the work site.
  14. Valid driver’s license for regional travel.
  15. On-site location in the regional Seattle area; specific site to be determined.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Performance and commission-based compensation, with expected annual earnings of $125,000 - $175,000, including a base salary of $36,000 plus commissions.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, life insurance, business travel accident coverage, optional insurances, a monthly mobile stipend, and flexible spending accounts.
