Job summary

Healthcare United in Columbus, OH seeks a Board-Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician to join as Associate Medical Director on a leadership track with potential to become Medical Director. The role is 100% onsite, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, delivering full-scope primary care while supervising providers.

You will care for medically and socially complex patients, lead clinical teams, and contribute to population health initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (no exceptions)
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience post-training – FQHC/community health experience preferred
• Recent hands-on primary care experience within the last 2–3 years
• Comfort prescribing opioids when medically appropriate

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a managed patient panel
• Diagnose and manage chronic and acute conditions
• Conduct transitional and follow-up care for high-risk individuals
• Coach and supervise clinical providers to elevate quality
• Lead population health huddles and support value-based care initiatives
• Collaborate with Medical Director in clinical decision-making
• Represent the center in clinical discussions and organizational planning
