Job summary

Vytwo is seeking a Software Test Engineer with Lab Exp to join our lab-focused testing team in San Diego. The role involves hands-on testing of Next Generation Sequencing platform software and embedded instrument software, with required presence in the lab five days a week.

You will design and execute test cases, automate with Playwright and TypeScript, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience testing Next Generation Sequencing platform software or similar.
• Lab-based role requiring onsite presence 5 days a week in the lab.
• Proficiency in programming languages and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Test software for instrument/embedded systems in a lab setting.
• Design and execute test cases covering instrument behavior and edge cases.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers in Agile sprints.
• Develop and maintain test scripts using Playwright + TypeScript.
• Manage test data and generate test summary reports.
