Job summary

Pace® Life Sciences in Oakdale, MN is hiring an Equipment Specialist II to maintain, qualify, and repair laboratory instrumentation and software. The role is full-time and onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

You will oversee diagnostics, calibration, vendor coordination, and documentation while providing after-hours support and ensuring quality system compliance. Strong background in chemistry/biochemistry and 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred; compensation range

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry or closely related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in lab instrumentation preferred.
• Experience with calibration and qualification of lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, qualification, troubleshooting, and repairs of laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate and oversee vendor management of lab equipment for onboarding, inventory, repair, and decommissioning.
• Provide on-call support during non-standard hours for critical equipment excursions.
• Source and ensure inventory of consumables and repair parts.
• Draft and revise SOPs, calibration procedures, and qualification protocols.
• Communicate with vendors, staff, and customers to provide advanced support and solutions.
• Audit equipment data and ensure compliance with quality systems.
