Job summary

Quantic in Exton, PA is seeking a Jr. Software Test Engineer to ensure quality across web and mobile platforms. You’ll develop and execute tests, perform API and mobile testing, and work with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines.

A strong foundation in SDLC, Agile practices, and SQL data validation is required. As an in-person role, you will collaborate with developers and analysts to identify defects early and improve release quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Hands-on API testing experience with RESTful services and JSON/XML.
• Familiarity with mobile testing on Android and iOS.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum or Kanban practices, and version control (Git or SVN).
• Ability to run SQL queries for data validation; MySQL or NoSQL databases preferred.
• Strong analytical and defect-tracking skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and plans from requirements and user stories.
• Perform functional, system, regression, performance, and UAT testing.
• Conduct API testing using RESTful services and tools like Postman or REST-assured.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and DevOps to troubleshoot defects and track issues.
• Support CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth releases with Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Perform mobile testing on Android and iOS using emulators or real devices.
• Analyze test results using SQL queries and generate reports communicating quality status.
• Participate in requirements gathering to translate needs into effective test strategies.
