Job summary

Fantom Corporation is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support software deployments, Linux administration, and containerized environments across hybrid cloud setups. The role emphasizes Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, reliable mission-critical systems.

The candidate will implement automation with Python/Bash, define IaC with Ansible or Terraform, and provide 24/7 on-call support while traveling as needed for installations and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerized environments, and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Two (2) years of experience with software/system deployments, Linux administration, and DevSecOps.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins or GitLab).
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills (RHEL/CentOS).
• Experience with Ansible or Terraform for IaC and network device configs.
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570-compliant certification, such as Security+.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science; Master’s may substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Support software and system deployments, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Administer Linux environments (RHEL/CentOS) and troubleshoot issues.
• Design and maintain LAN/CAN/WAN networks using Cisco and Arista devices.
• Deploy and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters for availability and security.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab.
• Develop automation with Python and Bash.
• Implement IaC using Ansible or Terraform.
• Manage and monitor hybrid cloud and virtualized environments.
• Provide 24/7 call-in support for critical operational system discrepancies.
• Travel as required for system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
