Transcend Business Solutions in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to bridge business owners, contract management, and the development team on a government modernization program. You will translate meeting outputs into functional specifications and create process flow models while documenting technical details.

The role requires coordinating JAD sessions, gathering requirements, and supporting QA through UAT coordination and test automation exposure.

Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 7 years IT business/industry experience.
Minimum 7 years in IT project business analysis.
Minimum 7 years with Agile software development methodologies.
Minimum 7 years of requirements gathering experience.
Minimum 7 years with Azure DevOps and/or TFS.
Minimum 7 years of JAD sessions with stakeholders and SMEs.
Minimum 7 years designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
Minimum 7 years automation testing with Selenium or similar tools.
Minimum 7 years of REST API and microservices testing; endpoint validation and payload verification.
Proficiency testing REST APIs with Postman/Insomnia or similar tools.
Minimum 7 years translating functional specs into technical specs for development.
Minimum 7 years translating business requirements into use cases and acceptance criteria.
Minimum 7 years translating meeting notes into mock-ups and process models.
Minimum 7 years creating technical documentation and SOPs.
Minimum 7 years coordinating QA, UAT, and guiding testers through workflows.
Minimum 7 years using process model tools (e.g., Visio).
Minimum 5 years manual testing validating system functionality against requirements.
Minimum 5 years automation testing to verify functionality and locate defects.
Strong verbal and written communication; technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as a liaison between business owners, contract manager, and development team.
Coordinate and facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with client stakeholders and SMEs.
Translate meeting outputs and materials into mock-ups, process models, and/or process flow models.
Meet with stakeholders to discuss business processes and translate requirements into functional specs.
Assist with creating process flow models and documentation for modernization projects.
Complete tasks needed for the client’s modernization project and maintenance of applications.
