Job summary

Royal Credit Union is seeking an IT Audit Intern to gain hands-on experience in information systems auditing within its Audit Services Department. Under the Chief Internal Auditor, you will assist in technology-focused audits, support data integrity and compliance initiatives, and help implement technology-driven projects.

The role requires university enrollment, 12‑month commitment, and onsite work at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI.

Qualifications

Enrolled at a university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a major related to Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics or related field.
Must be bondable upon hire
Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication with a customer-focused mindset
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet multiple deadlines

Responsibilities

Conducting audits focused on information systems, security, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Evaluating internal controls and prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
Assisting in preparing for external audits and maintaining organized audit documentation.
Analyzing continuous monitoring reports and following up on previous audit recommendations.
Supporting departmental administrative functions and contributing to innovation and process improvements
