Job summary

Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky seeks a Board Eligible/Board Certified Radiologist to provide diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedures, with emphasis on interventional and special procedures. The role supports expanding onsite capabilities for Western Kentucky and surrounding regions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in image-guided procedures and be prepared for inpatient and outpatient procedural coverage, with opportunities to grow the interventional radiology

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified radiologist.
• Experience in image-guided interventional procedures.
• Ability to provide inpatient and outpatient coverage.
• Willingness to grow onsite interventional capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy-guided biopsies and interventions.
• Place chest tubes and drains.
• Perform paracentesis and thoracentesis.
• Carry out lumbar punctures and myelograms as indicated.
• Collaborate with hospital-based and referring physicians to expand onsite services.

Interventional & Special Procedures | Dedicated Onsite Coverage | Growing Service Line

Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Radiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic imaging and image-guided procedural services, with an emphasis on interventional and special procedures. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a respected, physician-led organization and play a key role in expanding onsite procedural capabilities for patients throughout Western Kentucky and the surrounding region.

The ideal candidate will have experience and interest in image-guided procedures. Dedicated onsite coverage will improve patient access to timely procedures, reduce delays in care and the need for transfers or outside referrals, and provide more consistent procedural availability for both inpatient and outpatient services.

Practice Highlights:

• CT, ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided biopsies and interventions


• Paracentesis and thoracentesis


• Abscess and fluid drainage procedures


• Chest tube and drain placement


• Lumbar punctures and myelograms


• Arthrograms and other fluoroscopic procedures


• Barium studies and other special procedures


• Nephrostomy and other genitourinary interventions
