Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for inpatient palliative care on a PRN basis. The role is part of the Supportive Care Medicine team and collaborates with multiple specialties to improve symptom management for cancer patients.

The ideal candidate holds a graduate ARNP/PA training with a Florida license (or ability to obtain) and current BLS certification; oncology or internal medicine experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred for advancement.
• Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Active BLS certification.
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with evaluation, management and treatment of a wide spectrum of patients.
• Formulates treatment plans and coordinates care with interdisciplinary team.
• May perform minor procedures within scope of practice and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
