Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Millwright in Lincoln, Nebraska, for an on-site, full-time role. The position involves diagnosing and repairing industrial mechanical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and installing or rebuilding components as needed.

You will work in a manufacturing environment with PPE and safety-first expectations. Qualifications include 3–5 years of journeyman-level experience, ability to read mechanical drawings, and the capacity to pass pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening and background check.
• This is a fulltime position offering 40 hours/week and no relocation funding.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and industrial mechanical equipment.
• Replace defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
• Tests, repairs, or installs mechanical units, such as water pumps, fuel pumps, governors, distributors, carburetors systems, brakes, clutches, and other devices.
• Replaces bearings, chains, sprockets, and other machine parts.
• Rebuilds pumps, cylinders, and various mechanical equipment per SOPs.
• Aligns machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Fabricates repair parts if necessary.
• Must wear PPE (various gear) while performing duties.
• Work may require mobility in various positions and exposure to heights.
