Job summary

GM Performance Power Units in Concord, NC seeks an Energy Storage Battery Test Technician for onsite setup, operation, and maintenance of battery test activities across cells, modules, and packs. You will install units, configure instrumentation, and run advanced test rigs to deliver high-quality data for engineering teams.

This lab-based role works with test engineers to develop fixtures, resolve test issues, and keep a fast-paced, high-performance environment running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with battery pack, module, and cell testing.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot test rigs and instrumentation.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure battery packs, modules, and cells on test beds.
• Set up and calibrate instrumentation including sensors.
• Execute test procedures for high‑voltage systems and data collection.
• Monitor equipment to ensure safety and data quality.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve test procedures and fixtures.
• Maintain compliance with HV safety protocols and PPE.
