Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking an Applications Engineer II for the Indirect Service department, based in Chalfont, PA. You will support Formova, a JBT Marel Company, focusing on developing and testing end-user applications and interfacing with Windows Server environments and SQL Server.

The role involves collaborating with customers, training team members, and traveling up to 25% to support implementations. A BS in CS or Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering required.
• Ability to design, construct and test end-user applications per design documents.
• Experience with SQL Server, .NET, and web service interfaces.
• Knowledge of XML/JSON data and REST/SOAP interfaces preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test end-user mission-critical applications meeting design documents.
• Develop solutions for Microsoft Windows Server environment using Microsoft technologies (J Script, C#, SQL Server).
• Interface with Web Services using SOAP/REST interfaces and XML/JSON data.
• Interface with SQL Server using .NET, ODBC, and ADO,-compatible packages.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to support implementations.
