Job summary

Providence at Home, a division of Providence Life Services, seeks a Home Health Billing Specialist to manage billing for Home Health, Hospice and Palliative services in Homer Glen, IL. The role is on-site, full-time, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $30.00 to $35.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits. You will interact with the billing company and internal teams to ensure timely invoicing and collections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Intake experience in a health care setting (home health or hospice) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organization required.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office programs requested.

Responsibilities

• Review, research and respond on billing reports for Home Health, Hospice and Palliative.
• Resolve claim errors and validation holds in MatrixCare.
• Add payors to MatrixCare and configure payments as needed.
• Assist with self-pay invoices and follow-up collections.
• Enter charges and process billing for Private Duty Clients.
• Update authorization spreadsheets for Home Health, Hospice and Palliative.
• Assist auditors with information as needed.
• Assist with Medical Records requests for lawyers and insurers.
• Assist with NOE/NOAs as needed.
• Add physicians, organizations and employees to MatrixCare.
• Review Billing Task Hot List in MatrixCare for Home Health, Hospice and Palliative.
• Assist with insurance verifications and authorizations.
• Other duties as assigned.
