Job summary

NeoGenomics is seeking a Hematopathologist to join our team at our Carlsbad or Aliso Viejo, CA sites. This is an onsite position with a Tuesday - Saturday day shift.

You will provide contemporary hematopathology services integrating morphology with Flow Cytometry, Cytogenetics, FISH and Molecular genetics. Ideal candidates have 5 years of post-fellowship Hematopathology experience, CA license or eligibility, and board certification in Hematopathology.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology; Hematopathology board certification required.
• Five years of attending level experience in hematopathology strongly encouraged.
• Active CA medical license required or eligibility; FL, NY and TX eligibility a plus.
• Experience with automated LIS and electronic reporting.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic interpretation of biopsy and/or cytology material with gross and microscopic evaluation, dictation, and electronic release.
• Reads and interprets laboratory data.
• Performs quality control and quality assurance procedures.
• Participates in day-to-day operations and case sign-out with client interaction for Pre-Analytical, Analytical, and Post-Analytical questions.
• Provides expertise to technologists and resolves case issues.
• Serves as Delegated Clinical Consultant when assigned by site Medical Director.
• Ensures high standards of turnaround time, quality, and customer service; collaborates with staff and referring physicians.
