Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a skilled mechanical technician for Morenci, AZ, to perform diagnostics, maintenance and repair on heavy equipment including Haul Trucks, Dozers, Loaders and graders. Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety instructions in English.
• Ability to read and use blueprints.
• Ability to prioritize repairs and make sound decisions.
• Experience diagnosing machine systems and working with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as haul trucks, water trucks, dozers, loaders and motor graders.
• Remove, repair and install transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps and other heavy equipment systems.
• Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on hydraulic powertrain and engines.
• Prioritize repairs and manage work orders and inspections.
• Operate mobile equipment such as cranes, forklifts and boom trucks.
• Weld using carbon arc, plasma, MIG, TIG and stick processes.
• Fill-in supervisor duties and mentor other employees.
