Job summary

HamHed LLC is seeking an Onsite Operations Manager to lead daily janitorial and environmental services at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach. This full-time role reports to HamHed leadership and works closely with shift managers, VA personnel and staff to meet contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven management or operations leadership experience supervising employees.
• Experience managing day-to-day operations, staffing, scheduling, and attendance.
• Experience supervising employees, coaching, and providing feedback.
• Reliable, professional, organized with strong follow-through.
• Strong references to verify leadership and past performance.
• Excellent English communication with client and leadership.
• Proficiency with business tech for schedules, reports, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial and environmental services operations at the VA facility.
• Ensure contract requirements, cleaning standards, and schedules are met.
• Provide leadership to shift managers and onsite supervisors.
• Set clear expectations and ensure completion of assigned work.
• Coordinate staffing, attendance, overtime, and coverage gaps.
• Conduct routine inspections and verify quality standards.
• Escalate issues to HamHed leadership when needed.
• Maintain professional client relationships with VA personnel.
