Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is hiring a Service Technician in East Liverpool, OH. You will load/unload drums from trucks, process or store hazardous waste, and operate a forklift while following safety policies. The role includes occasional heavy lifting and basic housekeeping duties on site.

We value safety, problem-solving, and teamwork. A high-school diploma is required and HAZWOPER certification or firefighting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• HAZWOPER certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads drums and containers from trucks and processes or stores hazardous waste materials.
• Prioritizes health and safety by following policies and maintaining safe practices.
• Weighs and breaks down large containers for processing.
• Inspects and positions drums on conveyor and moves buckets manually as needed.
• Operates forklift, retrieves drums, and handles conveyors and computers.
• Transports trailers and tankers for collection of slag and ash.
• Pumps liquids and transfers material using a centrifugal pump.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs basic housekeeping tasks.
• Takes on additional duties to support the team.
