Job summary

Pave America is hiring an experienced Haul Truck Driver to operate on-site trucks for transporting dirt, rock, asphalt, and aggregate on our construction projects. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork across earthmoving tasks.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of haul truck experience, familiarity with inspections, and the ability to work long hours, including weekends. CDL is not required unless off-site hauling is involved.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating haul trucks or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience on construction, grading, mining, or large-scale earthwork projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with truck inspection procedures and safe operating practices.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL not required unless off-site hauling is part of the role.
• Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to transport material within construction sites or between short-haul locations.
• Follow designated routes and adhere to site-specific traffic plans and safety protocols.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of assigned truck.
• Safely back up to loaders, hoppers, or dump zones and dump material at designated locations.
• Communicate clearly with foremen, operators, and spotters to ensure safe truck movement.
• Maintain proper load balance and ensure material is secured when necessary.
• Comply with all company safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.
• Assist with light labor or equipment-related tasks when trucks are not in use.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
