Ledgent Technology is seeking an onsite Graphic Packaging Designer in Irvine for a 3-4 month contract. Work 4 days onsite with Fridays remote; hourly rate up to $32 on W2. You will design packaging, product imagery, and ecommerce assets while upkeeping brand consistency across touchpoints.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio showing consumer product packaging and recent design experience for new product launches, with 3+ years in the field and proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite.

Onsite Graphic Packaging Designer (JN -102026-432487) Irvine, California

Salary: USD30 - USD32 per hour

We are seeking a talented and versatile Graphic Designer to join our team. This role will support a wide range of design work — from packaging and brand assets to ecommerce imagery and marketing materials — helping ensure our visual identity is executed consistently and effectively across every touchpoint. We're looking for someone who can move fluidly between projects, bringing both strong design sensibility and precise execution to everything they produce.

• This is a 3 to 4 months pure contract position
• 4 days a week on site in Irvine, Fridays remote
• Hourly rate is up to 32/hour on W2 (no c2c or 1099)
• We need someone with strong experience with packaging design for consumer products, who can do product imagery, and marketing materials
• Candidate must have impressive portfolio, need to have recent design experience for new product launch

Responsibilities:

• Design and adapt visual assets across a variety of formats and channels, including packaging, ecommerce content, marketing collateral, and digital assets.
• Develop new concepts for style guides, brand refreshes, and brand design for subcollections, translating creative direction into cohesive visual systems.
• Update and evolve packaging artwork in line with established brand style guides across multiple product lines.
• Prepare production-ready files, ensuring specifications, dielines, and legal/regulatory requirements are accurately applied when working on packaging.
• Create, retouch, resize, and finalize product imagery and digital assets for ecommerce platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, and direct-to-consumer sites.
• Design presentations and visual decks to communicate creative concepts, brand direction, and project updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to broader brand and marketing design needs as they arise, applying strong visual judgment beyond established templates.
• Maintain organized file structures, version control, and documentation throughout the design process.
• Ensure consistent quality and adherence to brand standards across all deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support project timelines.
• Perform prepress checks and ensure packaging files are print-ready.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 3+ years of graphic design experience, with exposure to CPG packaging and/or ecommerce content.
• Strong general design skills and an eye for brand consistency across varied formats.
• Experience developing creative concepts for style guides, brand refreshes, or new sub-brands/subcollections.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong presentation design skills, with the ability to build polished, visually compelling decks.
• Familiarity with preparing imagery and assets for ecommerce platforms and online retailers.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with speed and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and file management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience working with major retail accounts or private label packaging.
• Basic knowledge of 3D renders or packaging visualization tools, such as KeyShot.
• Familiarity with project management software or digital asset management systems.
• Experience using AI tools such as Runway or Higgsfield to enhance or create visual assets.
