Job summary

Vaco is seeking a GL Accountant in Las Vegas, NV to join their growing team on a direct-hire, 100% onsite basis. The role will perform journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, support multi-entity financial reporting, and contribute to audit activities and financial analysis.

Requirements include 2–4 years of GL accounting experience in a mid-size or multi-entity environment and proficiency with a cloud-based ERP; benefits include discretionary bonuses, medical/dental/vision coverage

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of GL accounting experience in a mid-size company or multi-entity environment.
• Proficiency in a cloud-based ERP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process across multiple business units.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including prepaid expenses, accruals, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
• Support the timely and accurate completion of financial close activities while ensuring transactions are properly categorized.
• Assist with financial variance analysis and account reviews for management reporting.
• Maintain supporting documentation, schedules, and workpapers to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate transaction cutoffs and proper period-end accounting.
• Support special projects focused on process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Participate in testing and implementation of new accounting technologies, automation solutions, and process optimization tools.
