Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, seeks a Gage Designer to support Centrus Energy in Oak Ridge, TN. This role involves designing gages to inspect machined parts, ensuring quality and compliance with standards, and collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or equivalent, 5+ years in design, proficiency in 3D CAD and GD&T, and the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines in a U.S.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of design experience.
• Strong understanding of GD&T per ANSI Y14.5.
• 3D CAD proficiency and Creo/Windchill experience.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check for DOE Q clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Design production gaging for machined components and assemblies including go/no-go, functional, analytical, and CMM fixtures.
• Lead 3-D model and drawing development for gauging activities and engineering changes.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to improve dimensional quality and manufacturability.
• Manage projects with ownership to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Uphold safety, security and company policies.
