Job summary

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, is seeking a motivated Quality Control Assembly Inspector to contribute to our mission at Centrus Energy in Oak Ridge, TN. This onsite role focuses on inspecting mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, applying GD&T, verifying torque, and ensuring traceability and compliance throughout manufacturing.

You will work with technicians and engineers, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement to keep quality at the highest

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly, quality inspection, or technical related work.
• Handson experience with precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand basic GD&T.
• Knowledge of assembly sequencing and fastener requirements.
• Familiarity with inspection plans and digital inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections at key stages of the build to prevent defects and ensure quality.
• Verify torque, precision measurements, and labeling against specifications.
• Apply GD&T principles and ensure traceability and proper documentation.
• Maintain calibration and proper functioning of measurement tools; release assemblies after inspection.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and supervisors to communicate findings and drive quality improvements.
