Job summary

Toyota Lift Northwest is hiring a Field Technician to service customer locations across the Pacific Northwest. You will perform periodic maintenance, field repairs, and safety-inspection tasks while upselling maintenance agreements where appropriate.

Role requires a high school diploma, mechanical experience, and strong communication skills. You will work Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–5:00 pm, in Redmond, OR, reporting to the Director of Service - OR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with ability to shift priorities.
• Mechanical ability to repair equipment and adapt to machines.
• Previous mechanical experience or technical school.
• Usually journey level with over 4 years of mechanical experience or demonstrated capability.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead/supervise small teams.
• Clear communication with employees, vendors and customers is required.
• Customer service experience and material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to operate reach-truck, stock-picker, pallet jack and forklift certified.
• Be a team player with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM services at designated customer location.
• Visually check customer lift and verify PM service enrollment.
• Perform field repairs at designated customer location.
• Upsell during repairs and Preventative Maintenance agreements.
• Check in with Dispatcher by phone at start, during, and end of day.
• Document work orders using Catavolt.
• Review and complete all open work orders promptly.
• Complete safety inspections monthly for vehicles and tools.
• Never compromise safety; surround work area with safety cones.
• Use PPE properly when needed.
• Familiarize with proper tool use.
• Practice 5S.
• Ask for help if unfamiliar with a task.
• Assist with various projects as needed.
• Notify supervisor of safety concerns.
