Job summary

PG&E in Sacramento seeks an onsite Engineering Technician to assist with planning, scheduling, cost control and field drawings under supervision. The role supports senior field teams, processes licenses and orders, and prepares construction notes.

The position is wage-driven and locality-based, with emphasis on safety, PPE, and ability to travel within PG&E territory. Candidates should be able to work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to wear company PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds at least once daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling and cost-control activities for construction-related work.
• Support Senior Field Engineering Technicians and Field Engineers.
• Maintain schedule and cost control files and generate reports.
• Process licenses, permits and material orders and receipts.
• Prepare construction notes and field drawings; handle contract management tasks.
