Job summary

Rutgers University’s Department of Family Medicine at NJMS seeks a Family Medicine physician (MD or DO) at Assistant Professor rank for a 12-month appointment. The role is 100% onsite at the GKV Health Center with a focus on patient-centered care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The position requires Board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, NJ medical license, CDS, and DEA by start date, plus managed care credentialing.

Qualifications

• MD or DO; board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine.
• Valid NJ medical license, CDS, and DEA by start date.
• Managed care credentialing completed prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Family Medicine clinical consultation services at the Health and Wellness Center located at Georgia King Village.
• Ensure that Family Medicine clinical care is patient centered.
• Provide guidance to non-physician GKV Health Center team members supporting Family Medicine Services.
• Collaborate with GKV Health Center partners to ensure transitions and care.
• Serve as physician liaison for clinical services at GKV Health Center.
• Participate in continuous performance improvement efforts to reduce costs and improve outcomes.
• Adhere to applicable Compliance Policies and regulations.
