Job summary

Versar Global Solutions seeks an Assistant Chief Building Engineer to lead and support safe, reliable facility operations in a Tulsa, OK USPS site. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in building operations, maintenance, and repair in complex facilities.
• Experience overseeing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to coordinate daily maintenance activities and manage service records.
• Knowledge of safety practices, codes, and handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time on-site during normal hours and support daily facility engineering operations and maintenance activities.
• Serve as the designated backup to the Chief Building Engineer and cover leave time as scheduled.
• Respond to facility issues by phone or on-site to support continuity of operations.
• Support reporting to the Facility Manager and USPS COR regarding operations, maintenance status, and issues.
• Ensure compliance with USPS guidelines related to insecticides, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Assist in supervising and directing services to operate and maintain the facility and grounds per Addendum requirements.
• Assist in creating and maintaining detailed work plans supporting Addendum requirements and maintenance objectives.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance deficiencies, issues, and operational concerns.
