Job summary
Triumvirate Environmental is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support Lab & Onsite Services in Cranston, RI. You will manage hazardous waste programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional service to clients in higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors.
Responsibilities include waste preparation, on-site inspections, spill response, and participation in an on-call Emergency Response team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the hazardous-waste industry or relevant military experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Understand OSHA regulations and Triumvirate Health and Safety practices.
- Prepare chemical and biological waste for shipment, including documents.
- Safely handle hazardous waste containers on client sites and load/unload waste.
- Conduct safety equipment and hazardous waste inspections.
- Occasionally perform EHS audits for clients.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and innovative solutions.
- Develop regulatory expertise to meet client compliance needs (RCRA, DOT, OSHA).
- Conduct spill response assessments and cleanup efforts.
- Rotating on-call responsibilities for Emergency Response (optional).
