Job summary

Prosum seeks an experienced Systems Security Specialist to provide hands-on security engineering, operations, and threat-hunting support within a large enterprise environment.

The role requires independent work in a complex security environment, handling configuration, investigations, and incident response across security technologies like Defender, Proofpoint, Cortex, and Tanium. Onsite in Tallahassee, FL during standard hours.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise IT/cybersecurity experience including security engineering, operations, and messaging security.
• 4+ years hands-on experience with Palo Alto Cortex and Tanium (Cortex for Endpoint and Tanium Comply).
• 3+ years Exchange Online administration and mail-flow security experience.
• 3+ years hands-on security incident response, triage, containment, and post-incident docs.
• 2+ years threat hunting across endpoint, identity, email, network, and cloud telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary hands-on administrator for enterprise security platforms (Defender, Proofpoint, Tessian, Abnormal, Cortex, Tanium).
• Configure and tune security policies, rules, integrations, and automated actions.
• Monitor platform health, data flow, and configuration drift across security tools.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and document remediation actions.
• Administer Exchange Online and enterprise email security technologies.
• Coordinate security configurations across Microsoft and third-party platforms.
• Conduct proactive threat hunts and develop detections and automated responses.
• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and incident-response playbooks.
