Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• Hands-on experience in embedded firmware testing, software verification, or embedded systems validation.
• Strong programming and test automation skills in Python, including pytest.
• Experience testing embedded firmware on physical hardware and debugging software-hardware interactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks using Python and pytest for embedded firmware verification.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing of BMS software.
• Design, implement, and execute HIL test scenarios to validate firmware under normal, fault, and edge cases.
• Support SIL testing to verify embedded software in simulated environments.
• Validate firmware interactions with hardware components, sensors, interfaces, and peripherals.
• Perform CAN testing including message validation, signal monitoring, fault injection, and protocol debugging.
• Troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues using oscilloscopes, DMMs, and lab equipment.
• Read schematics and hardware interface docs to identify and resolve test failures.
• Analyze results, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with developers to fix defects.
• Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, cases, and verification docs.
• Track test execution, defects, and verification requirements for coverage and traceability.
• Support CI and automated regression testing pipelines for embedded firmware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test coverage and product quality.
