You will run battery and power supply testing, support prototype builds, and maintain the Portland lab under senior engineers. Requirements include an associate degree in electronics technology or equivalent, 2+ years hands-on electronics testing, and proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and loads.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics technology or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on electronics testing, assembly, or repair.
• Proficient with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and electronic loads.
• Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Strong soldering and rework skills, including fine-pitch components.
• IPC J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 certification is a plus – not required.

Responsibilities

• Runs battery and power supply tests, including charge/discharge cycling, capacity and runtime, load, and thermal measurements.
• Sets up and maintains test fixtures, data acquisition, and thermocouple instrumentation for repeatable results.
• Tests returned and supplier units to support failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Builds, wires, solders, and reworks prototypes, cables, and harnesses.
• Writes test procedures and reports, and records results under the design control process.
• Owns equipment calibration and lab organization, including inventory management.
• Maintains safe practices for lithium batteries, AC mains power, and flammable materials.
