Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. in Houston is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our hands-on manufacturing team. You will own the quality of each unit from components to finished assemblies, enabling rapid deployment of energy infrastructure.

You will read engineering drawings, work with BOMs, and use hand and power tools to build to specification, collaborating with engineering, test, and QC to maintain high first-pass yield. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electromechanical or mechanical assembly experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components per drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Read and interpret drawings and documentation to ensure accurate builds.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring equipment to meet specs.
• Perform visual inspections and basic functional checks before handoff to test.
• Identify defects and communicate issues to engineering in real time.
• Collaborate with test and QC teams to ensure smooth flow and high first-pass yield.
• Support continuous improvement on the assembly floor.
