Fisica, Inc. in San Leandro, CA, is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Assembler C for 100% onsite work in the Randtron unit. You will assemble small antennas and subassemblies from blueprints and operation sheets, using epoxy and hand tools, with microscope work when needed.

The position requires a high school diploma and 5–9 years of related experience, plus IPC J-STD-001 proficiency. Shift is 5:00am–2:30pm, with 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma and 5–9 years of electro‑mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read operation sheets and moderately complex blueprints.
• Soldering skills and knowledge of electronic components and color codes.
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as caliper and scale; pass IPC J-STD-001.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical and mechanical assembly work using blueprints and operation sheets.
• Uses standard hand tools and epoxies for assembly.
• Works with microscopes for lengthy periods.
• Interacts with QA and test personnel to inspect and test subassemblies at checkpoints.
• Performs hand soldering, wiring, and assembling small complex components.
• Performs rework and repairs as required.
• Shifts vary; overtime and weekends may be required.
