Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Project Engineer for a large-scale data center project in Mesa, AZ. You will support a team of project managers focusing on the electrical scope, managing design changes, documentation, and project controls to keep the project on schedule and within budget.

You will work closely with construction teams, maintain change order logs, develop schedules, and prepare submittals while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years as a Project Engineer.
• 2+ years on semiconductor or data center projects.
• Experience on data center and/or semiconductor construction projects.
• Electrical construction experience, preferably with an electrical subcontractor.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze construction schedules.
• Extensive document controls logs for submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Working knowledge of job cost tracking and cost control processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Proficiency with Bluebeam for drawing review and document management.
• Knowledge of medium- to high-voltage electrical construction concepts.
• Strong project engineering/management skills in a construction environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Track design changes and updates to ensure stakeholders use latest documents.
• Monitor project progress and maintain accurate job cost tracking.
• Coordinate design changes within construction team to align field, engineering and PM.
• Prepare change orders and maintain change order log.
• Support development/maintenance of project schedule and progress reporting.
• Maintain submittal logs and RFI logs.
• Prepare project submittals and clear RFIs to client.
• Maintain document controls with versioning and distribution.
• Read/interpret schedules to identify impacts and opportunities.
• Support cost tracking activities and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with PMs, field leadership, and subcontractors to manage priorities.
