Job summary

REISER is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to design, commission, and support automated control systems for food processing equipment. The role involves programming PLCs/ HMIs, selecting components, and ensuring safety compliance across IEC, NFPA, UL, CSA standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, sales, and service teams, participate in FAT/SAT, and travel to customer sites as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 4 years designing and implementing industrial control and automation systems.
• Strong knowledge of Rockwell Automation platforms including CompactLogix/Micro 800 PLCs, PanelView HMIs, and Ethernet/IP networks.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support projects.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508A, and IEC electrical standards.
• ERP/MRP experience for BOMs, purchasing, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and teams to define automation requirements.
• Select electrical components per safety standards (IEC, NFPA, UL, CSA).
• Develop BOMs and component specifications.
• Design control systems and network architectures using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Program, commission, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, drives, and motion systems.
• Support FAT/SAT and on-site commissioning and start-up activities.
• Create technical documentation and provide remote technical support.
