Job summary

Excel Staffing & Workforce Solutions - Oil & Gas Industrial Machinery Manufacturing in the Houston area is seeking a full-time Electric Assembler to join the on-site team. You will assemble electrical components, wiring, and harnesses, following detailed drawings and work instructions.

You will use hand and power tools, test equipment, and measuring devices to ensure proper installation, alignment, and functionality of systems.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools, power tools, and electrical assembly equipment used in industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of electrical components, wiring practices, and safe installation techniques in a production environment.
• Understanding of industrial safety standards, including lockout/tagout, PPE use, and safe work practices.
• Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to follow standardized work instructions.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams on the shop floor.
• Previous experience in electrical assembly, industrial machinery, or Oil & Gas equipment manufacturing preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical or industrial trades is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
• Willingness to work assigned shifts, overtime, and meet production deadlines as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical components, wiring, and harnesses per drawings and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools to install assemblies and ensure correct electrical connections.
• Inspect finished work for quality and safety, and document workmanship.
• Troubleshoot basic assembly issues and coordinate with supervisors to resolve them.
• Follow workplace safety standards, housekeeping practices, and company procedures to meet production schedules.
