Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or a combination of relevant education and equivalent experience.
• Experience in environmental permitting and compliance is essential.
• At least 2 years of EHS experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Flexible availability to work varied schedules as needed.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Weir Group’s SHE Charter is fully respected via full implementation of internal requirements and compliance with Title V, 1200z, NESHAP, RCRA, EPCRA, and Clean Air Oregon at the Portland site.
• Advise and collaborate with managers, supervisors, and operatives on SHE practices, delivering training from new hire inductions to Weir Zero Harm programs.
• Develop and maintain safe work procedures, tools, and programs aligned with Weir Standards; support risk champions in risk assessments across all operations.
• Lead accident and near-miss investigations using the ICAM process and drive safety and ergonomic improvements through A3 problem solving.
• Conduct audits and inspections, share best practices, and represent the company during regulatory inspections and negotiations.
