Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is hiring a Senior Manager for Environmental Health & Safety in Opa Locka, FL. You will lead and drive regulatory compliance, implement EH&S programs, and foster a culture of collaboration, providing critical support to the site EH&S team.

Your role aims to maintain a safe workplace and achieve excellence in EH&S performance. You will manage staff across EH&S specialties, oversee environmental permits and reporting, incident management, inspections, and

Qualifications

• University degree and 10+ years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Comprehensive leadership and experience implementing OSHA, EPA requirements.
• Prior experience leading EH&S programs and implementation teams.
• U.S. Citizen — citizenship required for access to information.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S staff and programs to maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.
• Manage multiple EH&S specialties and programs.
• Assess impacts and develop programs to reduce risk and ensure compliance; manage environmental permits and reporting.
• Support incident management from investigation through corrective action.
• Inspect, audit, and sample facility activities for compliance per law and RTX policy.
• Follow EH&S Management system and collaborate to achieve objectives and targets.
• Maintain chemical/hazardous material inventory and waste management documentation; update plans.
• Perform inspections, collect samples, and analyze data to reduce environmental footprint.
• Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root cause and drive corrective actions.
• Apply CORE, Lean and other CI techniques to develop process improvements.
• Partner to formulate EH&S plans and procedures including program management.
• Analyze trend data for improvement opportunities and develop risk-reducing programs.
• Interact daily with employees to promote relations and act as a resource.
• Collaborate with Facilities Management to ensure compliant site activities.
