Duke Energy is seeking an experienced EHS Consultant to support environmental compliance, safety protocols, waste management, and site program execution across the Carolinas. The role serves as a key environmental resource for facility personnel, business partners, and project teams to ensure regulatory compliance and sustainable operations.

The position emphasizes proactive planning, reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration, with onsite responsibilities at Toddville and related locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a science/engineering field or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of related work experience in EHS.
• Alternative qualification: HS/GED with 7 years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance programs across Toddville and satellite locations.
• Manage air permits, UST permits, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee SPCC, waste shipments, and chemical inventories.
• Coordinate with site personnel, contractors, and project teams on environmental needs.
• Respond to spills and incidents and drive corrective actions.
• Promote safety culture and continuous improvement across operations.
