Job summary

MSR-FSR LLC is seeking an EHS Coordinator to provide daily on-site safety and environmental compliance support at the Hillsboro facility. The role collaborates with Operations and QA to ensure OSHA/EPA regulatory adherence and effective EHS programs, including hazard communication and waste management.

The position typically supports a team of 20–90 people, requires ability to wear respirators, and involves engaging with local safety committees, training, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical/military school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Additional training, and/or certifications in Safety, Occupational Health, and/or Environmental Protection preferable.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, e-mail).
• Ability to clearly communicate in English through verbal and written documentation and provide training and guidance.
• Knowledge of regulations related to air emissions, hazardous waste, and water discharges.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices of chemicals and ability to handle hazardous substances.
• Ability to interpret federal, state, and local EHS requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with General Manager and staff to facilitate OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory compliance.
• Prepare, maintain, and disseminate EHS guidance documents, policies, manuals, and training programs.
• Perform routine floor audits to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in risk assessments, process reviews, and incident investigations with action follow-up.
• Provide workforce training presentations in small groups.
• Wear respirator and manage Respiratory Protection Program documentation and testing.
• Support proper profiling, waste stream establishment, packaging, and storage of hazardous waste per EPA/DOT/state rules.
• Provide post-audit recommendations to address deficiencies.
