Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an on-site EEG technician for per diem shifts in the Boston area. You will perform standard awake and sleep EEGs, long-term monitoring, and portable EEGs for inpatients and outpatients, with setup, electrode application, test conduction, and data collection.

Requirements include a high school diploma and ABRET EEG credentialing is preferred. Prior neurodiagnostic experience is valued, and strong collaboration with physicians, management, and care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist (R. EEG T.) - ABRET credential preferred.
• 0–1 year experience as a neurodiagnostic technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect patients' medical information to customize tests.
• Identify artifacts or interferences from non-brain sources (p. ex. electrode contact).
• Monitor patients during EEG tests using EEG/EP equipment and video recording.
• Perform tests to determine cerebral death or coma prognosis as applicable.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to prevent malfunctions.
